A Message From Jess

Thank you all for your patience over the past few months while we worked through technical issues. I’m pleased to say these are now behind us. With the help of our friends at Hoyts CTG, the faulty projector components have been identified and replaced, and I can finally welcome everyone back with confidence as we continue our busy new year.

Speaking of the new year, I’m thrilled with the films we’ve already screened in 2026. For those who’ve been patiently waiting, the internationally acclaimed Sentimental Value has returned. Tickets are now available on the website, with more sessions to be added soon.We have an incredible feast of cinema from around the globe.

Regular patrons will be pleased to know that most weeks will feature not one, but two new films. With so much on offer, some sessions may be limited at first, but rest assured we’ll endeavour to maintain popular titles. We keep films on as long as possible, knowing our patrons are true cinematic connoisseurs who favour the big screen over streaming and mobile devices.I also have some bittersweet news to share.

Our beloved Cinema Manager, Rosie, has retired to pursue a new career path. While we’ll miss her dearly, the entire team at The Piv wishes her the very best, and we hope to see her often for coffees and a chat. She may even get the chance to watch a few films now! So, it’s not goodbye, just fin.

Josh and Emily have already stepped up magnificently to take on the role Rosie held so capably. Many of you will know them already, but if not, be sure to say hello next time you’re in.

It’s a little belated but I’m exited for the new year, new films, and new poster boxes downstairs. If you haven’t stopped by yet, we hope to see you soon.

We’re open daily from 10:00am during this busy period so we can bring you as many quality films as possible.

Best wishes,
Jess | Founder of Piv

PS: Sentimental Value is now screening again.
